Race Information

Race Bib Collection

Race bibs can be collected;

Prior to race day from B&E Launceston, Brisbane Street, Launceston at the following times;

Wednesday, 14th July, 11am - 4pm

Thursday, 15th July, 11am - 4pm

Friday, 16th July, 11am - 4pm

Saturday, 17th July, 10am - 5pm

On race day, Sunday, 18th July, from Gunns Car Park , Lindsay Street (near the start line) from 7.30am

 

Entry Fee

Earlybird entry $30 up to midnight 18/5/2010

Standard entry $35 19/5/10 - 11/7/10

Late entry$50 12/7/10 - 17/7/10 (5pm)

 

Starting

Runners should make their way to the start early as Lindsay Street will be closed to traffic.

Race starts at 10am

 

Parking

Parking will be available at the Seaport and Inveresk (Tramsheds) Car Parks - Fees may apply.

 

Timing

This year electronic timing will be via a chip tied to you shoelace.  The timing chip must be worn on yourshoe to ensure that the timing system works correctly.

Remember to return your timing chip at the finish line or a collection fee will apply.

Refreshments

A water station will be provided at approximately the 3km/7km mark

 

Toilets

Portable toilets will be provided at the start/finish line.

One toilet will be provided at the drink station.

 

Restrictions

Wheel Chair and Pram Participants

To ensure the safety of all participants Wheel Chair and Pram participants will be asked to start at the back of the field

No dogs

No bicycles

 

No skateboards

 

No in line skates (Roller blades)

 

No iPods and other portable music players (MP3 players)

This is a requirement of the insurance cover that covers all participants in the event.  It has been found that participants using such devices are unable to hear instructions from Police and course marshals.  Participants have also been unable to hear emergency vehicles that have been required on some courses.
